Set in the heart of Catalunya and with views of a Medieval Castle, this hotel is designed in a village manner with its own animal farm and vegetable garden.

Enjoy a range of activities while staying at the Vilar Rural de Cardona. Learn about nature and farming on the hotel’s very own allotment where they grow a range of seasonal vegetables which you can later enjoy in the restaurant. Cool off in one of the swimming pools and then join friends for various activities in the games room.

The hotel has a village format with a central square, a pond and of course a farmer. The plot faces the town of Cardona and overlooks the forested Cardener valley. Enjoy spectacular views of the Medieval Cardona Castle and the strange rock formations of Montserrat.

Explore the stunning countryside with one of the excursions organised by the hotel. Alternatively, hire some bicycles and take a picnic. There are various guided tours on horse-back as well as fishing expeditions to some of Catalunya’s most tranquil spots.

The Vilar restaurant provides a typical village cuisine. Simple traditional dishes are cooked with the very best fresh local produce. There is a large, open grill for cooking meat and this can be accompanied with vegetables from the Vilar allotment. Choose from a wide range of homemade desserts.

Due to the country air guests usually enjoy a hearty breakfast which includes toasted bread with tomatoes, and a variety of local sausages. Dine while admiring the magnificent views of Cardona and the Salina valley.

The buffet also includes tasty children's meals and gluten-free diets are catered for upon request on reservation.
